All Select/All-Star level players born between Sep 1-Dec 31 in an ODD year can choose to remain in their current division without notice or approval (these players are eligible for an additional year in their current division).
All Select/All-Star level players born between Sep 1-Dec 31 in an ODD year may REQUEST to Play-up to a HIGHER division (the division they would traditionally have been forced to move to this time of year) and must provide a reason and get approval from the Board. Rec players will NOT be allowed to Play-up in the Fall and will be required to play in their age appropriate division.
6U eligible players may petition to Play-up to 8U based on age, experience, talent and appropriateness and with Board approval.
Play-down requests will NOT be allowed in either Rec or Select.

Recreation teams available for all players in the 6U (Rec only), 8U, 10U, 12U age divisions (14U may have a Rec team, but will most likely will be Select only)
Teams practice once per week (+ additional cage time), play one game on Sundays and participate in One Tournament (included in the registration fee)
Rec Tournament:
November 8-10, 2024
Rec Season will conclude on November 10 following the tournament
Any player not chosen for a Select team will automatically be placed on a Rec team (No cuts)

6U/8U: Friend and Coach requests will be a primary consideration when forming teams, although we cannot guarantee that all requests will be honored
10U/12U/14U: Friend and Coach requests may be submitted. We will try to accommodate as many as possible, but the primary criteria in forming teams will be to distribute talent evenly and to provide each team with sufficient specialty position players (Pitcher, Catcher, 1B). We cannot guarantee that any or all of these requests will be honored

The goal of Fall Select is to provide our players the opportunity to participate in a more competitive environment. Fall Select teams play a distinct and separate schedule from Fall Rec teams (unlike Spring).
Winning, success and development are paramount during the Fall Select season. Playing time and positions are not guaranteed, and coaches are not required to play players a minimum number of innings. While some players may prefer one position to another, it is important to recognize that at this level of play, all positions and roles are critical to the team’s success, and the coach will assign them accordingly
Players must sign a commitment form
Players also attempting to play on a Travel team will be given last priority in Roster selection (8U-14U)
An additional $75 fee will be assessed to ALL Select players (for additional tournament and umpire fees)
Fall Select players MUST have a league sponsored Matte White Helmet and Columbia/Navy Boombah Player Bag
Fall Select teams will either be chosen by the Select coaches, in consultation with the Board, or may require a Select Evaluation (tentatively scheduled for Sunday, August 11)
Select teams by invitation only in 8U, 10U, 12U (tryouts may be necessary).
Gold and Silver level may be offered in each age group (with sufficient interest)
14U: IGSA will sponsor a Maximum of TWO (2) Fall 14U teams consisting of EXPERIENCED players only. These teams will play as Select teams (with sufficient interest — subject to change). New/Inexperienced players may form a Rec/Developmental (practice) team with a schedule TBD. Fees will be adjusted accordingly.
Select teams practice 2X per week (+ additional cage time), play doubleheaders on Sundays and participate in Two Tournaments (one partial tournament fee is included in the registration fee)
Pumpkin Tournament: October 11-13, 2024
Turkey Tournament: November 15-17, 2024
Select Season will conclude on November 17 following the tournament
