Irvine Girls Softball Association

igsa Mission Statement

Irvine Girls Softball Association is a USA Softball-affiliated Junior Olympic Fastpitch Softball Recreation league for girls ages 4 ½ to 14. We offer teams at the Recreational and competitive Select levels, in both the Spring and Fall seasons, as well as the opportunity to participate in the summer All-Star season.

IGSA is a non-profit, volunteer only, youth sports organization dedicated to teaching softball fundamentals and life skills through good sportsmanship, leadership, positive coaching, and peer and parent communication. As a part of the Irvine community for over 25 years, we strive to contribute by providing the best athletic learning and sharing environment to the families of Irvine and the surrounding Orange County area.  These objectives guide the process of winning – they are not the product of winning. It is our goal to prepare girls to learn and play the game of softball in a fun, healthy and safe environment. We emphasize the importance of respect for teammates, opponents, coaches and officials. We not only strive to teach game skills, but life skills, as well as building lasting relationships with good friends. We want every player’s experience to lead her back to play year-after-year with IGSA.
