Dear IGSA Families,
I want to thank all of you for your patience with us as we work through these unprecedented times and try to find a way to get our girls back on the field.
I’m sorry to say after a lot of discussion with our IGSA Board and the City of Irvine we have decided at this point it is best to cancel the spring season. While we anticipated this would probably be the result, it doesn’t make it any easier. I for one miss seeing all of our wonderful families and the smiles of all our IGSA players as they spend time with their friends and enjoy this great sport. Ultimately, while this was a difficult decision the safety of our players is our number one priority.
As we have prepared for the cancellation of the season, we have come up with three options to offer all families in our league:
Option 1: Receive a $100 credit toward the fall ball season
Option 2: We will offer an $80 refund from the Spring 2020 season (all expenses have been accounted for to come up with refund amount, including items such as uniforms, field fees, pictures, USA Softball registration, etc)
Option 3: Donate refund to the league – all donations would be greatly appreciated and would go directly back to improving the experience of the girls in the league
Please Note: due to the discounted cost of the season for 6u we will not be offering a refund or credit to the fall ball season.
We are asking every family to complete the survey no later than May 31st. If we do not receive a response from you we will choose Option 3 and the refund will be donated to the league.
Thank you again for your understanding, I truly believe we have the best families in all of softball and I look forward to seeing you all out on the fields again. We will continue to keep you posted on updates for the fall ball season. If things do open up sometime this summer we will also look for opportunities to potentially offer some clinics as well.
In the meantime, we would love to see pictures on our Facebook and Instagram pages of your favorite IGSA memories (one of mine is pictured below) or how your daughter is keeping up with softball during her time off.
