2010 Spring Registration
Welcome to IGSA’s registration page for the 2010 Spring season. Registration opened October 13th and will run through January 9th (or later based on availability), but it is best to register early so that you can be sure to be placed on a team. Teams will be formed in January, practices will begin in February and Opening Day is in early March.
About our League
- IGSA is a recreational fastpitch softball league for girls between the ages of 4 ½ to 14. Our governing organization is the Amateur Softball Association. The primary purpose of IGSA is to foster, promote and advance the sport of girls fastpitch softball in Irvine by developing skills and educating players and coaches. It is our goal each and every season to prepare every girl who elects to participate to learn to play the game, regardless of skill level, in a fun, healthy and safe environment.
- Age brackets for the Spring 2010 season are as follows:
6U: players born in the years 2003 and 2004 (or before July 1, 2005)
8U: players born in the years 2001 and 2002
10U: players born in the years 1999 and 2000
12U: players born in the years 1997 and 1998
14U: players born in the years 1995 and 1996 (This division is full.)
- The registration fee is $95 for 6U and $175 for 8U through 14U.
- We are an all volunteer league, and each family must help out in order for our league to function. During the registration process, each family must select a volunteer option such as coach, assistant coach, team parent, scorekeeper, picture day coordinator, etc. In addition, each family will be asked to work a shift at the snack bar during the season (which is not only a great fundraiser for the league but also a welcome amenity for our players and fans). Finally, all players will be required to participate in a League sponsored fund raising event during the season.
