Many parents have questions about the rules and strategies in girls softball.
Below is a brief clarification of some of the more common questions and situations.
What Just Happened? A Parents Brief Guide to Softball

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?

– The league supplies basic equipment including bats, balls and catcher’s gear. However you may choose to purchase these on your own.

You will need to provide:
* Softball Glove
* Batting Helmet
* Cleats
* Sliding Shorts (recommended for all ages)
* Knee Guards (sliders – recommended for all ages)

WHAT DAYS ARE PRACTICES AND GAMES?

Spring:
– Practice is one field practice for each division and 8u and up may have an optional batting cage day.
– Games start on Opening Day, typically the first week in March.
– 6u games are every Saturday.
– 8u games are every Saturday and one additional weekday starting mid-season.
– 10u, 12u, 14u games are every Saturday and one weekday.

Fall:
– Practice starts in August and games run from September to November.
– We offer a competitive select level and a recreational level.

WHERE & WHEN DO WE PLAY GAMES AND PRACTICE?
